So this word judgmental is one that we hear often. There’s a difference in being judgmental and lovingly judging or correcting. God has a lot to say when it comes to judge meant. He is the ultimate Judge.
James 4:12 “There is only one lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. but you—who are you to judge your neighbor?”
Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgement you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck in your brothers eye, when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”
His opinion is the only one that ultimately matters. He will send you help along the way. Friends and family to tell you when you are wrong and to help guide you into his ways when you aren’t feeling up to the task. The bible clearly states that we are to help guide one another and let them know when they are lost or in the wrong.
Proverbs 31:9 “Open they mouth, judge rigorously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy”
John 7:24 “Judge not accourdning to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment” meaning don’t judge with our own human eyes but with Gods eyes and by his standards.
The truth is the only thing that will set us free. John 8:32 then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” Speaking the truth with repesct to one another is a form of love. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for the people in my life who have righteously judged me and spoke the truth to me when I was in the wrong. I can’t say I enjoyed it all the time but I am ever greatful that God has placed truth speaking righiously judging people in my life.
I encourage you to be courageous. To go out into this fallen world and speak the truth by righteous judgement.
