What Does He Really Want?

Sometimes it seems as though God ask a lot of us. As if he has a long list of rules to follow in order for us to be called his. So what does he really want? If you take the time to read what the scriptures say it really is pretty simple. He wants just a few things if us.

Mark 12:30 says “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”

 – Love him whole heartily

Micah 6:8 says “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

-Be just

-Be Kind

 -Be Humble

Mathew 22:37-40 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

– Again love God whole heartily and love and treat everyone else the way you want to be loved and treated.

Of course God has set several other guidelines throughout the bible that we are to follow such as: the 10 commandments (exodus 20:1-17 & Deuteronomy 5:4-22) and not perticipating in homosexuality and other sexual impurities (1 Corinthians 6:9) the farther along in your walk you are with him and your spirituality grows so will your knowlage of what he ask of you specificly. He gives us very clear does and don’ts but will also give you personal convictions which will be rules just for you. If you do the few simple things he ask your heart desires will become his desires. Just like anything else, the more you practice living your life the way he says to, the more like second natural his will becomes in your life.
