1 lb. of lamb or bottom round(I use pre-sliced fajita meat)
3-5 potatoes of your choice
1 onion diced small
1 Tbs. Whole gloves
1 tsp. thyme
8 gloves garlic crushed and sliced
1 cup of Sherry
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 1/2 cup beef broth
Mix the onion, garlic, gloves, thyme, sherry, salt & pepper into a zip lock bag and add your meat. Marinade for at least 2 hrs or over night.
Once marinated pre heat the oven to 325 degrees then slice your potatoes and put into a casserole dish pour meat & marinade over potatoes add the 1 1/2 cup of beef broth or as much as needed to fill about half way up the casserole dish. Put in the oven for 2 hrs or until potatoes are tender.
This dish has a very distinctive taste because of the cloves and that is what I love about it. Enjoy.
