Who are you? This is a question I think everyone asks themselves at some point or another in their lives. When we are children we are told what to do and how to behave by our parents. As we reach the preteen years we are told by our peers and the media what we are supposed to look like, dress like, talk like and who they think we should be. As we become adults we start to come into our own. Deciding for ourselves who and what we want to be. This can be a wonderful time of awareness and self understanding. People who are secure in their faith and/or know who they are, good for you, your one of the lucky ones. You knew who you where no matter what the enemy or the world told you and you easily stand your ground. However, if your anything like me maybe it didn’t come so easily. Once you stop letting the world tell you who you are and started listening to who God knows you are your world can be drastically changed. l am not the most confidant person in the world. However, I do have a God that has written his thoughts on what he thinks of me down on paper so that when I start to listen to the worlds opinion of me all I have to do is read his words and be reminded of who I really am. I’m praying that these scripture may speak truth into your life and remind you of who you really are. John 15:14 says You are a friend of Jesus ” You are my friends” Romans 6:6 says You are Free and Redeemed ” Our old selves where sacrificed with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.” Romans 8:1&2 You are not condemned ” So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus…” Psalms 139:14 You are Wonderful ” I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” 2 Corinthians 3:12 You are bold and confidant ” Since this new covenant gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.” Jeremiah 31:3 You are loved “…yes I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefor with loving kindness I have drawn you.” Jesus has so many wonderful things to say about us. He made us. He loves us. He believes in us. You and I are more than the world can see and say we are. We are children of the King and fiercely loved.
